Kamavardhani is a Prati-madhyama raga (sharper middle), the raga diagonally opposite to it in the chart is Mayamaḷavagowḷa (meḷa 15). Mayamaḷavagowḷa is more commonly known, as the very first Carnatic lessons begin with that raga!
