I understand that in the first half of varṇams we have muktāyi svarams after pallavi and anupallavi. Why do they call it ‘muktāyi Svarams’?
In Telugu, Muktāyimpu means conclusion. Muktāyi svarams are so called as they conclude the first half of the varṇams.
