A quartet of composers jointly known as Garbhapurivāsa, collaborated and created kritis. The main two were violinist Karur Dakshinamurthy (1860-1887), and Karur Krishna Iyer (1861-1901), also a violinist and composer. The other two were Karur Chinnaswamiah (a violinist as well, 1888-1967) and Dakshinamurti Sastri.
Karur Chinnaswamiah was given ‘Sangita Kalanidhi’ in 1950. Musiri Subramanya Ayyar and GNB were his disciples.

Its so beautiful!! Brings back fond memories of your classes- I even dared attempted singing it for a couple of kolus :)!
P.S. you may want to cross check across another source on attribution just incase there is inadvertent misrepresentation creeping into your pristine intent in propagating the joy of music from unverified sources, an issue across the digital space reducing its usability. For example, Karur Dakshinamurthy (1860-1887), Karur Chinnaswamiah (a violinist as well, 1888-1967) and don’t appear to have lived in the same period, let alone collaborate.
